Heritage Permits are used by City staff to collect the necessary information and materials in order to advance processes under the Ontario Heritage Act.
There is no fee collected for a Heritage Permit.
The City of Oshawa currently uses Heritage Permits for the following processes:
Prior to submitting a Heritage Permit, it is highly recommended that you contact Planning Services for initial discussion including the identification of potential requirements. This will assist you in preparing preliminary plans. Please contact [email protected].
To request a Heritage Permit, complete the form below. Upon receipt of a Heritage Permit request, a planner will be assigned and will review the submission. The planner will contact the applicant by email to identify any missing plans, reports, materials and other information required for a complete application. A virtual meeting can be arranged subsequently to discuss.
This form may contain personal information as defined under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This information is collected under the legal authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001 c.25, as amended. This information will be used and maintained by the City of Oshawa to review and process your Pre-Consultation for Development Application.
