Application for Snow Clearing Assistance Program

The City of Oshawa provides snow clearing assistance to residents 65 years of age or older and people with disabilities who have no residents without disabilities under the age of 65 living in the household. The Snow Clearing Assistance Program provides registered residents with assistance in clearing City sidewalks and driveway windrows. The windrow is the pile of snow at the bottom of the driveway that is left after a snow plow clears the street.

The information provided is correct and I will notify Service Oshawa if any conditions change.
Service will commence as soon as practical following a snowfall of more than 2.5 cm (1”) and is planned to be completed by midnight the day after the snowfall ends.
The clearing of windrows will be done only if the windrow is at least 20 cm (8”) high.
This service does not provide for clearing of walkways on private property or of my driveway other than the windrow.
This application is for this winter only and that a renewal application will be sent for future years.
Fraudulent applications shall be subject to fees and charges associated to actual cost of service.
