Canada Day Food Vendor Information:

The City of Oshawa will make available spaces for food vendors at Lakeview Park. The City of Oshawa reserves the right to limit the number of food vendors dealing in sales of similar products.

Applications will be reviewed on an individual basis after the deadline. The City of Oshawa further reserves the right to select and approve all products for sale, exhibition or promotion at the event.

Food vendors will be located outdoors during the event on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Food vendors will need to have their own whisper quiet generators pre-approved by the City Of Oshawa.

Preference will be given to:

• Food vendors and booths that have business or home address in Durham Region
• Good quality, well priced items
• Applicants who incorporate green initiatives

Submission Requirements:

• All submissions are subject to a selection process
• Price list and product list should be submitted with application
• Late submissions will not be accepted
• There are a limited number of spaces available
• Advertising of food vendors attending the event will be done once all payments and documentation are received in full
• Each vendor is expected to share their participation on social media and/or bring promotional postcards to other shows
• If selected a signed agreement, full payment and proof of insurance is due no later than May 30 at 4:00 p.m.

Licensing Requirements: (Paid through Licensing)

• Certificate of insurance for $2,000,000 liability naming the City of Oshawa as an additional insured must be obtained if selected to participate.
• Food trucks require a mobile RV license or temporary RV license
• Food booths require a short term food shop license

Event Space and Fee: (Paid through Facility Booking Office)

• Canada Day Food vendor event fee 10x10 space: $200 plus HST
• Canada Day Food vendor event fee 20x20 space: $400 plus HST
• The location of each vendor spot will be determined by the City of Oshawa Events Team
• Signage must be confined to the perimeters of your booth
  This is an outdoor event, come prepared for weather
• Booths must have a clean, attractive and professional appearance. Lights are recommended
• Certificate of insurance for $2,000,000 liability naming the City of Oshawa (address: 50 Centre St. Oshawa, ON L1H 3Z7) as an additional insured must be obtained if selected to participate.

Set-up and Take-down:

• Food vendors will be required to do their own set up and take down and all supplies necessary. Food vendors will not stake their tent into the ground and will be responsible for supplying their own weights for tent if applicable
• Motorized vehicles are restricted to set up and takedown time
• Set-up: TBC
• Late arrivals will not be accommodated
• Take-down: no earlier than 11:00 p.m.
